Automated Trading Championship 2007
Mazhit Mugattarov
ATC 2007
Reporting the 9th Week of the Championship (26 November-2 December)

9 weeks have passed since the beginning of the contest. The unconditional leaders seem to have already dug in their places, but the fight goes on, so very different Participants may win.

9 weeks of the contest are already behind us. This week was not rich in surprises: Nearly all leaders of the Championship stayed on their places.

The first place is still held by Participant nicked Better. He has been taking the first line ot the Participants table for three weeks already. His equity has increased by 16.5 thousand dollars and makes 105 thousand now. Olexandr managed to leave the second-place Participant 66 thousand dollars behind. Only 3 weeks are left until the end of the contest, so Better is the most probable leader of it. Our congratulations to him once again!

The second place is taken by a Participant from Russia, zyx40, well-known by preceding weeks, too. In spite of his relatively little experience in trading, Alexei created a successful Expert Advisor that has managed to dig in the second place. His equity has grown by almost 5 thousand dollars this week and made 39 thousand. Good luck, Alexei!

The only place that no Participant is still able to dig in is the third one. This week, this place is taken by Participant maxfade from Ukraine. He was not even in Top Ten during the preceding weeks, but he finished this week on the 3rd place. His equity does not differ from that of zyx40 very much and makes nearly 38 thousand. Like Participants on the first and the second place, maxfade trades EURUSD. Our congratulations to his third place and best wishes for the rest of the contest!

The table of Top Ten of the ninth weeks looks as follows:

Interview with William Boatright (wackena)

The EA works virtually the same on any chart timeframe as utilized timeframes are hard coded in the EA. I find this makes the EA more reliable.

Interview with Boris Vilenski (bablokos)

Boris Vilenski from Israel decided to write an automated trading system based on his professional experience, though it is far from trading. This system underlies his competing Expert Advisor. For the EA BablOKoS_EURUSD, Boris developed his own indicator that produces parameters, based on which decisions are made.
